The newly launched Anglican Communion Youth Network (ACYN) is a growing platform which works to promote and support the ministry of young people and youth workers within the Anglican Communion.
The Anglican Consultative Council 16, meeting in Zambia 2016, passed resolution 16:34 which, amongst other things, mandated the Youth Members of ACC-16 to work with the Secretary General to restart the then-defunct Anglican Communion Youth Network (ACYN).
ACYN is a gathering platform to connect, promote and support ministry of young people and youth workers in the Anglican Communion. Since 2016, these youth members of ACC-16 have, with the support of many individuals around the communion, developed a draft strategy for the new Anglican Communion Youth Network.
The primary purpose of the youth network is to support young people as they transition from youth roles into adult roles in the church; and in that process, growing in their relationship with God and with other Anglicans.
The Network has grouped the Anglican Communion’s Provinces into 7 Regions, namely: Africa 1, Africa 2, Americas, Asia, Europe, Middle East & South Asia, and Pacific.
The network operates through sub-committees categorised as mission team (1 for each Mark of Mission) and administrative teams (Communications and Logistics, and Finance).
The network also facilitates and supports autonomous projects including the Young Anglican Musicians and the Young Anglican Theologians
